From the brand Team heat it from Karlsruhe, the startup Kamedi GmbH has developed an innovative medical product aimed at transforming smartphones into "miracle weapons" against insect bites. Insect bites can be effectively treated with heat, but the founders recognized the need for a more sophisticated approach. Today, the Kamedi team has grown to over 15 skilled individuals, overseeing every aspect of the product's lifecycle, from procurement to shipping. Their milestones include a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2019, the sales launch in 2020, and the introduction of a new product generation in 2021. In 2022, they reached the impressive milestone of 250,000 customers, and in 2023, they are set to launch in the United States.

The "heat it" device is designed to be a compact, battery-free companion for everyday use, travel, and sports. It meets the highest medical standards, with a TÜV Süd-certified quality management system in Germany. The product is compatible with iPhone models from 6s to 14 (Lightning), and it offers a sophisticated safety concept to protect the user's smartphone and its battery.

The "heat it" solution utilizes concentrated heat (124°F) to provide a natural, chemical-free treatment for insect-related irritations caused by mosquitoes, bees, wasps, bugs, and horseflies. The free accompanying app offers 12 customizable modes, including settings for sensitive skin and children (from 3 years, self-use 12+), ensuring a personalized and effective treatment.
